Typing
is a critical skill for students this year as we will be using digital
tools more and more to complete classwork and collaborate with
classmates.
Beginning in 4th grade, students are required to be able to type a
minimum of one page in a single sitting. In 5th grade, students are
required to type two pages in a single sitting. Grades 1-3 need to use
digital tools to produce and publish writing, including collaborate with
peers. Typing Agent will help prepare students to meet these new
standards.

3) Review IXL rules and tips/tricks (Don't stress if you can't hit 100 on the Smart Score).
4) Click HERE to access Typing Agent.
5) Enter your username and password (same as Google Apps).
6) Select the Pre-Test under the Testing section.
7) Review basic typing skills.

This week we will review how to log-in and navigate IXL. To help with the log-in process and prepare to introduce the online typing program (Typing Agent), we will spend some time reviewing basic typing skills and completing online typing activities.

3) Remember to only complete the 1st grade skill(s) your teacher assigns in-class. You can review any kindergarten skill you want, anytime.
