5th Grade Survey and Result Analysis

This week we will wrap-up our work using Google Sheets. We'll complete a survey and then analyze the results using charts/graphs and calculations.

Before we work on analyzing our survey results, please complete this 5th grade legacy project survey.

Legacy Survey

1) Click HERE to complete this online survey.

2) Log-into Google Drive and open your Google Sheets Workbook.

3) Click HERE to access the results and copy/paste them to your workbook.

4) Brainstorm some ways you can analyze and chart the results.

5) Complete at least one calculation and one graph/chart/table.

Google Earth

This week we'll be learning details about maps and how to use Google Earth.

1) Open Google Earth

2) Practice using the different tools (Zoom, Search, 3D Box, Compass)

3) Practice visiting different landmarks.

5) Visit the White House and zoom into the building so you can tour around the different rooms inside.

6) Select your favorite location and view. Copy and paste it to a shared Google Presentation. Insert shapes, arrows, lines to annotate your image and explain it to your classmates.

Mapping

This week we will explore the world with Google Maps Collections. Since you have been learning about oceans in the classroom we'll explore the Google Maps Collections underwater ocean gallery.

1) Learn about how Google Collects Street View Images.

2) Open Google Maps Collections Gallery.

3) View the different collections available.

4) Click HERE to open google maps. Let's find some different locations. 

5) Open Google Earth. Where should we go?

Landmark MoveNote Presentation

This week we will finish our Landmark presentation and turn it into a MoveNote.

1) Log-into Google Drive and open your Landmark presentation.

2) Finish your presentation and Download it as a PDF (save to Drive).

3) Export from Drive to MoveNote.

4) Create a MoveNote presentation.

5) Click HERE to copy paste the link of your completed MoveNote presentation.

Old Portland MoveNote

This week we will finish our Old Portland info books and turn them into a MoveNote presentation.

1) Log-into Google Drive.

2) Open and finish your Old Portland presentation.

3) Download it as a PDF and save to your Drive.

4) Export your PDF presentation to MoveNote.

5) Record your presentation of your information book.
